As a Vice President in Business Development at a leading investment management firm, you will drive the distribution of investment products, lead initiatives in client acquisition, and enhance market presence through strategic event planning and marketing efforts. The role demands a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a solid background in finance or marketing, dedicated to achieving sales targets and establishing robust client relationships.

Qualification: Tertiary education mainly in the field of Business Administration, Finance, Marketing will be advantageous.
Language: Your proficiency on commonly used business languages in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong would be of much value.

JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President, Business Development, is responsible for driving the distribution and growth of the company’s investment products and services. The role involves planning and executing events, achieving sales targets, and coordinating marketing activities to promote the company’s investment products to both local and international financial institutions, corporates and high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Funds Distribution & Business Development:
Lead efforts in distributing the company’s products and services and expanding the business.
Identify and acquire new clients locally as well as offshore.
2. Event Planning & Organization:
Plan, organize, and execute events and activities aimed at promoting the company’s investment products and services.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful event execution.
Achieve sales and business targets related to client acquisition and AUM growth.
Develop and implement strategies to increase client engagement and conversion rates.
4. Marketing Coordination:
Coordinate all marketing efforts, including email blasts, direct mailers, and social media activities.
Prepare and distribute marketing reports to track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
5. Reporting & Compliance:
Ensure that all necessary reports are completed accurately and submitted within the given deadlines.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
6. Self-Development:
Proactively seek opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in business development and fund distribution.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends, products, and competitors.
7. Ad Hoc Assignments:
Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by your superior.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
Education:
Tertiary education in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the financial services or investment industry.
Relevant experience with a proven track record in client acquisition and fund distribution.
Skills:
Good understanding of investment products and services of financial markets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Others:
Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
