A leading veterinary service provider in Penang is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian. You will conduct medical exams, perform surgeries, and develop treatment plans. This role requires a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, registration with the Malaysian Veterinary Council, and experience in a clinical setting. Conduct examinations, perform analyses, diagnose medical conditions, and perform surgeries.
Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and administer preventive care.
Perform surgeries, including neutering and specialized procedures.
Provide emergency care and advanced diagnostics (X-rays, blood tests, ultrasounds).
Conduct tests on samples and provide house call services.
Provide consultations and treatments.
Support training and supervision of junior staff.
Assist with administration tasks, inventory management, facility upkeep, and support front desk operations, cleaning, and hygiene maintenance when staffing is insufficient.
Rotate duties with veterinarians for smooth medical centre management.
Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Educate pet owners on nutrition, vaccinations, and behavior.
Build strong client relationships through communication and follow-ups.
Participate in community outreach and educational programs.
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
A Registered Veterinary Surgeon with the Malaysian Veterinary Council (MVC).
Possess annual practicing certificate (APC).
Proven experience in a veterinary clinic, medical centre, hospital, or similar setting.
Proficiency in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and emergency care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client education and teamwork.
Strong multitasking skills and adaptability in a fast-paced medical centre environment.
Flexible and collaborative mindset to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations.
Compassionate and patient approach to animal care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in veterinary surgery or internal medicine.
Familiarity with veterinary software and record-keeping systems.
