Job summary

Sempurna Farms Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking motivated Agronomy interns to support day-to-day operations at our controlled-environment urban farm in Bangsar Utama.

You'll gain practical exposure to crop production, germination, transplanting, nutrient preparation, harvesting, packaging, delivery coordination and hygiene control, with training and supervision provided throughout the internship. The internship is ideal for students in horticulture, agronomy or plant science seeking hands-on

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related fields.
• Preferably in the 3rd year or final year of study.
• Strong interest in sustainable farming and urban farming.
• Willingness to perform hands-on farm work and adhere to SOPs.
• Basic knowledge of plant growth, crop cycles, pests/disease prevention, hygiene or post-harvest handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with germination, transplanting, growing, harvesting, packing and cleaning.
• Support crop production scheduling and sowing plans.
• Prepare seeds, growing media, trays, nutrients and other materials.
• Monitor plant growth, crop health, moisture levels, temperature, humidity, lighting and airflow.
• Prepare nutrient solutions according to crop requirements and SOPs.
• Record observations and report crop issues to supervisor.
• Keep farm areas, equipment and materials clean and organized per hygiene standards.
• Assist with harvesting, weighing, sorting, packaging and storage of produce.
• Support inventory tracking of seeds, nutrients, packaging materials and consumables.
• Assist with weekly customer orders and produce for delivery or collection.
• Support farm visits and public-facing events when required.
