Role Overview:
We are looking for a thoughtful and detail-driven UX Copywriter who can craft meaningful, user-friendly content for mobile and web applications. This role requires strong proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. You will help shape the tone, language, and flow of our user interface by writing clear, concise, and purposeful copy that guides users through their journey.
As part of the core design team, you'll collaborate closely with designers, researchers, and stakeholders, contributing not only words but strategic thinking to improve usability and communication. This is an opportunity to shape a brand voice from the ground up while following established CI guidelines.
What You’ll Do:
- Write intuitive and purposeful UX content for mobile and web applications, including microcopy, labels, tooltips, confirmations, and system messages.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX Designers, Visual Designers, and Researchers throughout workshops, user testing, and feedback sessions.
- Develop a UX Copywriting Playbook covering tone of voice, grammar standards, naming conventions, and message templates for system interactions.
- Ensure all copy aligns with brand tone, accessibility standards, and corporate identity guidelines.
- Translate and localize content between English and Bahasa Malaysia to ensure clarity and consistency across languages.
- Conduct A/B testing of key messages to determine clarity, comprehension, and engagement.
- Participate in end-to-end product development cycles, from discovery workshops to user testing and design reviews.
- Create reusable content templates and messaging systems for common UX scenarios (e.g. empty states, error pages, onboarding flows).
What We’re Looking For:
Core Skills:
- Excellent writing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with a strong grasp of tone, clarity, and brevity.
- Proven ability to craft copies for digital interfaces across mobile apps and web platforms.
- Familiarity with UX best practices and accessibility standards.
- Comfortable creating and applying language systems including tone of voice, taxonomy, and naming conventions.
- Experience with collaborative tools such as Figma, Notion, or Confluence.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience writing UX copy for mobile and/or web applications.
- Experience working on bilingual (English and BM) digital products is strongly preferred.
- Strong portfolio that includes UI text, content guidelines, and writing samples relevant to UX.
Soft Skills:
