Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall utility plant operation including IETS and SW.
• Ensure IETS is operated efficiently and SW is well managed.
• Keep management updated on regulations from related authorities.
• Monitor RO water, electricity, and compressed air systems efficiently.
• Liaise with government bodies on utilities-related matters.

Job description

Utility Engineer (CePIETSO-BP & PCP Certified)

• Responsible for overall utility plant operation, inclusive Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS), Scheduled Waste (SW), Boiler, RO System, compressed air system, electricity system, water system, and etc.
• Ensure IETS is operated efficiently and SW is managed well in compliance with acts and regulations.
• Keep the Factory Manager and Management updated on new regulations or requirements from the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia or related authorities.
• Monitor and operate RO water system, electricity system, and compressed air system efficiently so that processed water, electricity, and compressed air can be supplied to production machinery continuously and efficiently.
• Liaise with relevant government bodies such as DOSH, DOE, SAINS, TNB on utilities-related matters.
• Ensure all related facilities and equipment work effectively; liaise with the maintenance team to arrange repairs or services with the maintenance department.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must be competent and hold valid CePIETSO-PCP and CePIETSO-BP and CePSWaM certificates
• More than 1 year’s experience in the related field.
• Good interpersonal skill and ability to cultivate teamwork spirit.
• Well-versed in statutory and regulatory requirements of the Environment Act 1974 and all other related regulations.
