About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Freelance Brand Director / Senior Brand Director to lead high-profile, integrated campaigns—particularly within the public sector—delivering creative excellence and measurable impact. This role is ideal for a confident and resourceful leader who can navigate and manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships, and drive campaigns from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and drive the creative and strategic direction of integrated campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand positioning.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders, partner agencies, media vendors, and internal creative, strategy, and production teams.
  • Lead nationwide, multi-channel campaigns across tv, print, outdoor, digital, social, and experiential touchpoints, ensuring consistency, quality, and timeliness.
  • Oversee the full campaign lifecycle from brief development and creative concepting to production, launch, and post-campaign evaluation.
  • Navigate the requirements, sensitivities, and approvals processes of public sector and government-related work, ensuring compliance and effective public engagement.
  • Work independently while also inspiring and guiding a cross-functional team to deliver best-in-class creative and strategic solutions.
  • Manage shifting priorities and tight timelines with resilience, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record as an Account Director, Senior Account Director, or Brand Director in an integrated advertising or creative agency environment.
  • Experience leading large-scale, nationwide campaigns—preferably in the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel marketing, including ATL, digital, social, and content.
  • Exceptional client servicing and relationship management skills, with the ability to confidently influence senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled at balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Resilient under pressure, highly organised, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
