Job description

Purpose

Oversee a team that is handling global and local policy requests and policy issuance on behalf of Zurich Malaysia (General Insurance and Takaful).

Serve as subject matter expert in line of business, processes, and systems, ensuring efficient policy processing services while creating and maintaining optimal solutions for customers, ensuring both excellent service, quality and profitability.

Key Accountabilities
  • Directly responsible for attainment of service goals, including the achievement of production timeliness and quality standards for all supported areas.
  • Manages performance metrics within operational budgets and responds to changing requirements.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate well with business units, business partners, local brokers, and key customers while creating a positive processing center environment.
  • Ensures compliance to all enterprise standards and local laws with attention to details and profound knowledge of local insurance regulations.
  • Manage staffing, recruiting, performance management, coaching, counseling, and staff development.
  • Plans and executes strategic vision.
  • Troubleshoots problem areas; resolves problems.
  • Ensures that operation performs at expected standards.
  • Enable the development of new and expanding business opportunities and upkeep of tailored policies and services to meet client-specific requirements.
Performance Management Accountabilities

• Model behaviors that demonstrate commitment to corporate values.

• Complete the performance management cycle with staff, including providing coaching and feedback for improved performance.

• Meet objectives of people management plan.

• Ensure all staff have and are implementing development plans.

  • Take action to manage own personal development and encourage others to do the same.
