Overview
Conduct underground surveys to produce detailed maps and utility lines. Utilize total stations (when available), GPS, PCL and EML.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect spatial data from underground environments. Process and interpret survey data to produce accurate and updated maps. Monitor ground movements and tunnel deformations. Verify the position and alignment of underground works to ensure design specifications are met.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed survey reports, as-built drawings, and data documentation. Maintain survey records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency with survey instruments (e.g., Radio Detection, GPR).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SurveyCAD or similar software.
- Knowledge of underground safety practices.
Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in underground utility mapping and surveying.
- Proficient in the use of surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, ground-penetrating radar).
- Strong technical knowledge of fiber, civil engineering, and underground infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
