Overview

CMGI Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to join their team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in creating intuitive and visually engaging user experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Visual & Interaction Design

  • Translate UX strategies into high-fidelity interfaces for web and mobile applications.

  • Design clear, elegant, and intuitive interfaces that make life easier for F&B customers, restaurant owners, and staff.

  • Maintain visual consistency by building and managing design systems and reusable components.

  • Work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation of your designs.

• Problem Solving

  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and users to solve complex challenges in the F&B space — from menu management to payment flows and inventory tracking.

  • Participate in design sprints to quickly generate, test, and validate ideas.

  • Balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility in every solution you design.

• Design Validation

  • Conduct usability testing, heuristic analysis, and accessibility reviews.

  • Gather feedback directly from users, restaurant staff, and managers to validate design decisions.

  • Iterate based on real insights to deliver data-driven, user-approved solutions.

• UX Design

  • Take part in the full UX process: research, interviews, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and testing.

  • Turn user pain points into structured problem statements and actionable design solutions.

  • Support service design initiatives that connect multiple touchpoints — from customer apps to kitchen dashboards.

What You Bring

• Diploma or Degree in Design, IT, Engineering, or related fields.

• 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX or product design.

• A strong portfolio showcasing UI design, information design, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools).

• Excellent communication skills — able to explain design rationale to both designers and non-designers.

• A collaborative team player who works effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.

• Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS).

• Experience in F&B, retail, or e-commerce industries is a plus!
