Job summary

Tropica Beauty Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a driven UI/UX Designer to join our Batu Caves, Selangor team. You will craft web and mobile experiences, build and maintain a design system, and collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate implementation.

The role focuses on end-to-end design, including wireframes, flows, and polished UI, with a strong emphasis on mobile-first thinking and visual consistency across platforms.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or Design/Visual Communication.
• 2–3 years of UX/UI design experience across web and mobile projects.
• Strong portfolio showing mobile-first UI, wireframes, motion work, and a design system you built or contributed to.
• Proficiency in Figma (preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
• Experience with Protopie, Lottie/After Effects, or similar animation tools.
• Mobile-first design mindset with knowledge of iOS/Android conventions.
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for spacing, hierarchy and visual language.

Responsibilities

• Design web and mobile experiences with accessible, usable, and visually consistent interfaces.
• Develop low-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Define and maintain a reusable design system and components.
• Create and refine motion and micro-interactions to enhance usability.

About the role

We are seeking a driven and ambitious UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team at Tropica Beauty Sdn. Bhd. in Batu Caves, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in developing and executing innovative strategies to promote our range of Mom and Baby Products.

What you'll be doing

Design Web & Mobile Experiences: Create intuitive, user-centered designs that ensure accessibility, usability, and visual consistency across web and mobile platforms.

Develop Low-Fidelity Wireframes, User Flows, and High-Fidelity UI Design : Create clear wireframes, user flows, and polished UI designs to visualize design concepts

Define Design System and Reusable Components: Establish and maintain a consistent design system, including color palettes, typography, iconography, spacing, and motion guidelines to ensure scalability and visual coherence

Define Motion & Micro-Interactions : Create meaningful animations and micro-interactions such as splash screens, screen transitions, button states, and icon feedback to enhance usability and user engagement

Define Brand & Visual Identity : Develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity and tone, ensuring consistency across all product touchpoints.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure smooth design handoff and accurate implementation aligned with business goals.

What we're looking for

Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field

2-3 years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably with exposure to both web and mobile app projects

A strong portfolio that showcases mobile-first UI design, wireframes, motion work, and a design system you've built or contributed to

Proven ability to define typography, colour systems, and visual language from scratch

Proficiency in Figma (preferred), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or equivalent tools

Experience with Protopie, Lottie/After Effects, or equivalent animation tools

Mobile-first design mindset with solid understanding of iOS and Android design conventions

Detail-oriented with a strong eye for spacing, hierarchy, and visual consistency
