Job summary

Avensys Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Functional Tester in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a contract engagement. The role emphasizes manual and UAT testing, with exposure to test automation, test management, and agile practices within banking projects.

You will assess business requirements, design test cases, and ensure quality through thorough defect tracking. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in UAT/QA, with banking/digital platform experience and relevant agile certifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degrees in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Manual Testing, Test Automation, Test Management, Agile Testing, Banking (Internet Banking).
• Agile or UAT-related certifications (added advantage).
• 2–5 years of UAT, QA or business testing experience.
• Exposure to banking or digital platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop test conditions and expected results based on application requirements.
• Document steps to recreate defects and maintain traceability in test scripts.
• Understand testing concepts and how testing fits in the project lifecycle.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in Banking and banking applications.
• Handle assignments independently with minimal supervision.
• Be familiar with Agile testing and DevOps methodologies.
