About The Job

About the role: Perform engineering detailed design on current projects for onshore/offshore projects and to fulfill Departmental needs and support engineering operation within the Company.

Main Accountabilities
  • DESIGN BASIS, CODE & STANDARD
    • Understanding and applying knowledge of design codes, industry standards and practices such as API/ISO/ASME, etc., and interpretation of requirements to meet project needs
    • Resolve problems and troubleshoot based on Codes & Standards interpretation
    • Understand code limitations and apply with accuracy and effectiveness
    • Understand client specifications (e.g. PTS, DEP) and provide services that meet contract requirements
    • Review and raise clarifications on ITB/Client documents/Contractual documents in case of ambiguity
  • KNOWLEDGE OF STATIC EQUIPMENT
    • In-depth understanding of rotating equipment used in oil & gas, refinery, and related industries for onshore and offshore applications, and selection of correct equipment types for a given process
    • Engineering competence in hydraulics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, rotor-dynamics, combustion, etc.
    • Able to predict rotating equipment performance with limited vendor dependence
    • Review vendor options and provide detailed technical evaluation (TBE/TBT)
    • Review in-house and vendor P&IDs and identify interfaces
    • Witness Vendor FAT / shop testing and review test reports
    • Support site technical queries regarding equipment design, installation, and mechanical completion for field acceptance
    • Explore cost-saving options and energy-efficient measures during project execution or proposals
    • Participate in equipment/project HAZOP and close out action points
  • MATERIAL SELECTION
    • Understand various materials for different services (e.g., Wet CO2, sour, low-temperature, toxic services) and market availability
    • Review vendor proposed materials and assess material grades based on process input / material selection report / corrosion study
  • WORKING DELIVERABLES
    • Prepare technical deliverables in a timely and productive manner
    • Technical Data Sheets, Job/Equipment Specifications, Material Requisitions
    • Technical Clarifications, Technical Bid Evaluations / Tabulations (TBE/TBT)
    • Equipment selection study reports and input to other disciplines (layout, utility requirements)
    • Weight data and foundation loading input; equipment interface details
    • Compressor aero/thermodynamics studies and summary; driver selection and de-rate
  • VENDOR DATA REVIEW (VDR)
    • Expert review on VDR to meet Codes & Standards, local regulations, project and discipline requirements
    • Interface with other disciplines (piping/stress, process, civil, electrical, structural, instrumentation)
    • Conduct VDR meetings with vendors and support VDR to shorten duration and progress
  • FABRICATION KNOWLEDGE
    • Understand fabrication processes, critical elements/path and their impact on delivery
    • Able to anticipate and improve delivery schedule for vendor equipment
  • PERFORM AS LEAD ENGINEER ROLE
    • Provide total commitment to meet project values, monitor progress, and execute within resources
    • Be proactive, creative, and efficient in project execution
    • Coordinate and plan resources for project execution
  • TECHNICAL AUDITS
    • Carry out technical audits on request (senior engineers with 10+ years experience)
    • Investigate and resolve quality complaints or incidents as requested by client or project manager
  • OTHERS
    • Maintain professional judgment, responsiveness, and proactivity to meet project needs
    • Produce quality engineering deliverables and meet JV/Client expectations
    • Fulfill QA/HSE aspects and support team collaboration
    • Able to supervise, coach, and guide junior engineers
    • Starting Date: Immediately
About you

The Candidate shall possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Hons) with at least 7 years of engineering design experience in various static equipment for onshore/offshore applications, preferably with experience in Green Hydrogen, Electrolyzer and Carbon Capture Storage Projects.

  • Be willing to travel and be stationed at various Engineering Operating Centers/Client offices as needed (overseas assignment)
  • Site or fabrication experience (1-2 years)
