What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Treasury Analyst I to join our Malaysia team.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Engage with Front Office Treasury team members to confirm all daily settlements including cash sweeping and other FX transactions.
  • Administer treasury settlement process including loan repayments, FX deals, manual payments in the Treasury reporting system and banking platforms.
  • Responsible for bank balances compilation and reconciliation.
  • Manage bank account administration and maintenance.
  • Prepare daily cash reconciliations and identifying cash variances for multi-currency bank accounts.
  • Engage with Middle office accounting team to collaboratively agree accounting treatment of various transactions.
  • Support the month-end close process and respond to queries from Treasury Middle Office when completing Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis for the Corporate entities.
  • Assist Middle Office Treasury team in preparing certain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external parties (Bank Relationship Manager, Bank Trader, auditors and others).
  • Support monthly processes such as bank guarantee invoicing to Operations and settling intercompany mismatches.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives undertaken by the Treasury Team.
  • Participate in other projects as required and directed by Senior Management.

What you’ll have

  • 3 - 5 years of similar experience working in a Treasury team in large complex organization.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles.
  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of intercompany processes in complex, multinational companies an advantage.
  • Exposure to foreign exchange reporting and treasury instruments.
  • Knowledge of financial services and treasury products.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications Degree/Diploma in Accounting.
  • Medium/Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP and BI (Business Intelligence) environments.
  • Familiarity of Quantum and Hyperion highly advantageous.
  • Able to confidently engage with internal customers and key stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of reporting and information requirements.
  • A team player, dedicated team member with effective inter-personal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and pays attention to the details.
  • Strong deadline-driven and problem-solving mindset.
