A leading staffing company in Malaysia seeks a Treasury & Accounting Manager specializing in Oil & Gas/Renewable Energy. The role includes managing treasury functions, overseeing full set account responsibilities, and ensuring proper execution of financial analysis tasks. Candidates must have a relevant degree and significant experience in treasury and accounting.
TREASURY RESPONSIBILITIES
• In charge of treasury and banking related matters
• In charge of full set for subsidiaries and related companies
• Ensure smooth running of treasury and banking function.
• Liaise with all relevant internal and external parties to seek clarification on requirement from them.
• Review the following:
i. Loan and other banking facilities application.
ii. Bank guarantee application.
iii. List of banking facilities.
iv. Spreadsheet for fixed deposits and interest income.
v. Spreadsheet for invoice financing and interest expense.
vi. Spreadsheet for revolving credit and interest expense.
vii. Spreadsheet for financed invoice verse non-financed invoice.
viii. Financial information for project tendering.
ix. Review month end journal entries.
x. Fixed deposits and interest income.
xi. Amount draw down on invoice financing and interest expense.
xii. Bank charges on bank guarantee.
xiii. Analyze an invoice to be financed.
• Carry out administrative work which is related to banking and treasury matters.
FULL SET ACCOUNT FUNCTION
• Handle fixed asset modules such as addition, disposal, write off fixed asset and monthly depreciation running.
• Handle petty cash functions such as reimbursement, disbursement, petty cash advance and coordination with regional petty cash custodian.
• Preparing reports such as capital commitment, contingent liabilities, GP by segment, budget, etc.
• Handle full set of accounts for certain company
AD-HOC FUNCTION
• Liaise with tender team on providing the treasury related report such as banker reference letter, tax residence status letter, etc.
• Any ad-hoc and analysis as and when required.
• Couch and motivate subordinate.
• Prepare Bi-weekly cash flows planning.
• Maintain a list of files and ensure proper filing of all documents.
• Observe and recommend internal control procedures from time to time.
• Highlight to superior any pertinent issue and/or problem arising from work
• Maintain a spirit of a team player in supporting your fellow colleague at any one time
• Work closely with AP team and AR team on the cash flow allocation
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree, or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in treasury and AP functions in the related field is required for this position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Possess applied knowledge in computerized accounting systems.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Reliable and able to work with minimum supervision.
