Our flagship product, Guava, is a fully integrated treasury management system covering the complete spectrum of treasury operations, from front-office dealing and middle-office risk, to back-office settlements and accounting.
The Role
We’re seeking a Treasury Accounting Consultant with strong accounting expertise across financial instruments. Ideal candidates will have banking or financial services experience and deep knowledge of trade lifecycle accounting, GL integration, and accounting standards.
This role bridges finance and systems — supporting Guava implementations and advising clients on accounting configurations to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the SME for accounting treatments across products: FX, fixed income, derivatives, loans, and deposits
Advise clients on IFRS/US GAAP treatment across the trade lifecycle (e.g., amortisation, MTM, P&L)
Configure and validate Guava’s accounting engine to ensure accurate financial postings, and deliver training to clients on accounting workflows, system configuration, and best practices
Design and troubleshoot GL integration with core banking systems
Provide guidance on FIFO, LIFO, WAC methodologies and their reporting impacts
Analyse and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies
Stay updated on new financial products and evolving accounting standards
Collaborate with project teams and document client-specific accounting configurations
Requirements
Bachelor in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CA preferred
Ideally 10+ years’ experience in financial instrument accounting; strong candidates with 5+ years and relevant expertise will also be considered (banking / treasury background preferred)
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle events, mark-to-market, and amortisation
Experience with GL interfaces and accounting system integration
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Experience with treasury or accounting software
Exposure to SQL or data/reporting tools
Previous consulting or implementation experience
