Overview

We are seeking an experienced Transport Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team at CIRCULAR AGENCY SDN. BHD. in Ipoh, Perak. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring they are in top condition and running efficiently to support our product delivery. This role involves managing the Maintenance Department team to foster a culture of excellence through coaching, mentoring, motivation, and engagement in pursuit of continuous improvement. It also plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with road transport standards, rules, and applicable legislation; corporate policies and standards; customers’ requirements; and industry standards with strong collaboration with cross-functional departments to optimize the resources, manpower, and fleet utilization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance and repair of the fleet of commercial vehicles to ensure top condition and efficient operation.
• Lead and develop the Maintenance Department team through coaching, mentoring, motivation, and engagement to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with road transport standards, rules, and applicable legislation, as well as corporate policies, standards, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize resources, manpower, and fleet utilization.

Requirements

• A diploma/degree in automotive engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Transport Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and components.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Computer proficient with a strong application of Microsoft software, presentation, and literacy abilities.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Highly self-motivated, forceful, assertive, and resilient with a high level of integrity and work ethic.
• Possess a valid driver\'s license and the ability to travel to the outstation as needed.
• Customer-focused, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Experienced in a fast-paced 24/7 road transport environment.
