A reputable company in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Transformation Manager to drive process improvements and manage internal audits. The role requires excellent analytical skills, experience in developing SOPs, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills. Must be willing to work in Muar, Johor.
Job Function: Responsible for driving significant improvements across the company through efficient, scalable and well-controlled processes. This role will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to streamline processes, capable of both leading large-scale transformation projects and managing the critical internal audit function to support the company’s growth, including support to the FMCG division.
Job Description:
1) Business Process Transformation & Change Management
Lead the review, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the entire organization and align department functions with the company's goals.
Map end-to-end functional processes to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
Partner with department heads to understand their workflows, challenges, and goals, translating them into effective process designs.
Champion the change management process for all new or updated SOPs, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
Utilize data analytics to track progress and make informed decisions.
2) Performance Analysis & Internal Controls
Perform in-depth financial and operational performance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Dive deep into data and processes to diagnose root causes of operational issues.
Design and recommend practical and effective internal controls to mitigate risks and enhance process reliability.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented controls and make adjustments as needed.
Ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
3) Training, Communication & Change Management
Develop and conduct company-wide briefings and training sessions on new policies, SOPs
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance by effectively communicating the "why" behind changes.
4) Internal Audit Coordination & Compliance
Act as the primary coordinator and liaison for all internal audit activities.
Lead internal audit processes when necessary, planning audits, conducting fieldwork, and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls.
Prepare formal responses to internal audit findings, developing pragmatic corrective action plans with process owners.
Track and report on the status of all audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective closure.
Job Specification / Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA and a recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA) or equivalent.
At least 5 years of working experience in a related field is required. Excellent organizational and multitasking ability—handling documentation, logistics, and coordination simultaneously.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Clear written and verbal communication—multi-language skills a bonus (English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin).
Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills that enhance internal collaboration.
An analytical mindset that supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, independent, high level of flexibility and adaptability with good organization skills.
Candidate must be willing to work at Muar, Johor.
