A leading staffing expert is establishing a new Cotton Trade Support team in Malaysia, responsible for contract management, invoicing, and client service support. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree, 1-5 years of experience, and fluency in Mandarin, contributing significantly to the trade execution process. This role offers exposure to a multicultural team and an opportunity to drive efficiency in operations.
About the Role:
Our client is establishing a new Cotton Trade Support team in Malaysia, transitioning operations from China and India. This team will play a critical role in supporting post-deal trade execution and documentation for the cotton trading business.
Responsibilities:
Contract Management
Monitor and reconcile daily trade confirmations for completeness and accuracy.
Track contract document issuance, reception, and signature follow-up.
Input daily price fixations into the Front system and manage related documentation.
Finalize contracts regularly in the Front system.
Invoicing & Cash Management
Issue goods invoices and book secondary cost invoices daily.
Prepare and issue payment requests.
Monitor cash collection, ensure timely payments, and update data in the Front system.
Stock Data Management
Declare stock to insurance and upload warehouse reports (daily/weekly).
Reconcile stock against warehouse receipts.
Client Service Support
Handle administrative requests from counterparties (e.g., payment status, contract/invoice documents, account reconciliation).
Requirements:
Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
1–5 years of relevant experience in trade support, business administration, accounting, or supply chain within an international trading environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable adapting to new IT systems.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Independent and proactive with a self-starter mindset.
Strong communication skills (English and Mandarin - verbal and written).
Team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Comfortable collaborating with multicultural teams, especially in China and India.
Additional Information
System used isSAP (prior experience not required; training provided).
Mandarin fluency (read, write, speak) is mandatory due to coordination with China-based teams.
Primarily internal facing; limited external stakeholder engagement.
Office relocationto a new location on 1st September 2025 (TBC).
