Tourist Bus Assistant (Full Time)

This is a full-time job requiring employees to work on weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and on short notice. Singles with no family or relationship commitments are preferred.

Employees must be very patient and professional with tourists. The offered salary is higher than the industry average to meet higher expectations.

Employees are also required to memorize about 30 pages of Malaysian history and demonstrate advanced English proficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Able to understand and speak good English confidently (most tourists are from USA and Australia)
• Ability to walk quickly; a fit body is a plus
• No experience required, but willing to learn and memorize 30 pages of Malaysian history
• Good personal grooming; professionally dressed (shirt, long pants/jeans, covered shoes); no messy hair, body piercings, tattoos, body odour, smoking, slippers, shorts, short skirts, or revealing clothes
• Outstanding sense of responsibility (punctuality, no last-minute medical issues or leaves)
• Good customer service, time management, and improvisation skills (patience, no vulgarity, temper control, ability to handle unexpected situations)
• Confident mobile phone use (Google Maps, internet searches, sharing hotspot)
• Positive working attitude (willing to learn, patient, responsible, team player)

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Minimum guaranteed salary of RM6000/month; up to RM8000 with tips from US tourists
• Salary is auto-top-up to RM6000 if earnings are less (conditions apply)
• Salary calculation: RM450 per full-day tour (18 hours) or RM300 per half-day tour (12 hours)
• Fresh graduates are welcome; must work on weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and on short notice
• Assist tourists with boarding, alighting, and taking photos; ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Explain history at attractions (30 pages of notes provided)
• Ensure safe driving (no speeding, drowsiness)
• Communicate with tourists via WhatsApp, handle admin tasks
• Tour starts and ends in Johor Bahru; pickup/dropoff at your residence if near Stulang Laut or CIQ
