Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Management: To deliver FPSO Topsides and/or Marine engineering and design within budget, schedule, and quality.
2. Leadership: Provide leadership and cultivate a high-performance engineering organization delivering consistent FPSO design.
3. Setup of Engineering & Design Systems & Management of Change: Establish a robust engineering execution platform for detailed engineering delivery meeting contractual requirements and implement change management processes.
4. Compliance & Communication: Ensure compliance with standards, conduct meetings, and prepare reports with stakeholders.
5. People Management and Budgeting: Motivate teams, develop staffing plans, and manage budgets and variation orders.
6. Resources and Problem Solving: Forecast and mobilize resources; develop solutions to complex problems, interfacing with clients as needed.
7. Health, Safety & Quality: Incorporate safety and quality in design, conduct reviews, and address NCRs.
8. Decision Making and Knowledge: Make timely engineering decisions, understand discipline interactions.
9. Dispute Resolution & Risk Assessment: Lead dispute resolution and risk assessments, ensuring closeout of actions.
10. Lessons Learned & Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement and manage subcontractors.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 20+ years’ experience or MS with 15+ years, including at least one full cycle FPSO experience. Diploma holders with extensive experience and additional qualifications may be considered.
2. Experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas or FPSO projects.
3. Ability to communicate technical requirements effectively with construction and commissioning teams.
4. Client management skills and interface knowledge between topside and marine systems.
5. Understanding of engineering sequencing, deliverables, standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Ability to review engineering documents, define design concepts, and consider operability, maintainability, and HSE factors.
7. Leadership and organizational skills, with good communication capabilities.
