Job Responsibilities
Administrative / Technical
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist during direct treatment or assessment sessions under the instructions of therapists.
- Prepare patients for treatment by transporting them to and from the treatment area and assisting with the removal and application of orthoses, prostheses, and clothing as required.
- Instruct patients in self-care and instrumental activities of daily living to facilitate skill practice.
- Report observations on patient progress and condition to therapists and other team members.
- Assist therapists in making, modifying, and adapting self-help devices and equipment.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain therapy equipment to ensure availability for patient activities.
- Perform minor repairs and report malfunctions to therapists.
- Participate in patient conferences to provide feedback on patient progress.
- Maintain records such as statistics and inventories using computer and word processing software.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, including equipment and supplies.
- Participate in team meetings, in-service training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and manage petty cash for department supplies.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Resource Management
- Create, maintain, and keep accurate records of documents and correspondence.
- Manage and update the contacts database regularly.
- Continuously update professional knowledge to meet organizational needs.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM or Diploma in related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a hospital setting.
