Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Manager for their data centre projects in Kulai, Malaysia. The role involves planning and managing all testing activities, ensuring quality delivery during installation, and executing the T&C process. Candidates should have a diploma in engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in testing and commissioning.

Job description

Testing & Commissioning Manager - Data Centre

Plan, coordinate, and manage all testing activities and associated documentation for the project.

Ensure quality delivery during the project installation phase and coordinate smooth handover to client and internal service teams.

Review project design to assess operational feasibility.

Verify and evaluate equipment/system quality and performance in accordance with specifications before client delivery.

Coordinate all testing plans and procedures.

Develop and review test plans and test scripts.

Participate in early-stage project planning to understand construction and T&C requirements.

Lead and execute the full Testing & Commissioning (T&C) process, ensuring timely and smooth completion.

Ensure all works comply with relevant standards and engineering practices.

Interpret M&E built plans, technical literature, and equipment manuals.

Perform equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

Report any work issues and non-compliances to the Project Management Office (PMO).

Conduct Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Integrated System Testing (IST), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and other related T&C procedures.

Provide technical support to the project team on testing procedures.

Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand and align with the design intent.

Perform other duties as assigned by the PMO.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Testing & Commissioning.

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a related engineering field.

Able to handle level 1 to level 6 testing & commissioning data centre
