Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia, Penang, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to ensure manufacturability and testability of cutting-edge ICs. You will design, evaluate, and validate test flows, enabling high-volume ramp and optimized performance.

You will collaborate across design, development, and production teams to drive manufacturing readiness, with responsibilities spanning debugging test methods, ATE, and device characterization. This role requires on-site presence in Penang.

Responsibilities

• Drive testability and manufacturability solutions for ICs from feasibility to production ramp.
• Validate and debug test methods and ATE to ensure performance and reliability.
• Develop test flows, methodologies, and hardware solutions for production testing.
• Analyze design and component functionality to optimize production processes.
• Collaborate with fab, assembly, quality and manufacturing teams for ramp.
• Lead device characterization, yield analysis, and datasheet spec definition.
• Develop software to convert vectors and manage test equipment.
• Support manufacturing readiness for new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and develop testability and manufacturability solutions for integrated circuits from feasibility to production ramp.
• Validate and debug complex test methods and automatic test equipment (ATE) to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Contribute to the development of test flows, methodologies, and hardware solutions for production testing.
• Analyze and evaluate design and component functionality, optimizing production processes and ensuring alignment with specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fab, assembly, quality, and manufacturing, to support high-volume manufacturing ramp.
• Perform ATE device characterization, yield analysis, and datasheet specification definition to enable efficient production testing.
• Develop and debug software programs to convert design validation vectors and manage complex test equipment.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities and support engineering milestones for new product introductions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in domain with demonstrated skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training OR a Masters degree in a relevant field with no prior professional experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages used in test development (e.g., Python, C/C++).
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with automatic test equipment (ATE) and device characterization techniques.
