Job summary

Texas Instruments in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Equipment Engineer to drive MES-based improvements on Test and Plating lines. The role starts with a 1‑month TI orientation, followed by a 1–2 year MES deployment, then transition to production to optimize uptime and throughput.

You will engineer MES workflows, data collection, validation, and post‑project sustaining activities to improve reliability in a high‑volume fab.

Responsibilities

• MES Implementation (Project Phase): Represent Test and Plating equipment engineering in the MES rollout. Define workflows, recipe controls, and equipment states.
• Integration & Data: Translate Test (handler/tester) and Plating (chemical/mechanical) requirements into digital designs. Define data collection needs for critical process parameters.
• Validation: Validate integration scenarios and support UAT and deployment.
• Sustaining (Post-Project Phase): Transition to production to manage equipment reliability and use MES-driven data to optimize Test throughput and Plating process parameters.

Join TI as a specialized Equipment Engineer to drive the digital transformation of our Test and Plating lines. This is a unique, multi-phase role: following a 1 month TI orientation familiarizing with TI systems while being deployed into a critical MES implementation project team for 1–2 years. Upon successful project completion, you will transition into a production role, utilizing your deep MES expertise to optimize equipment uptime and automation in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
