Job summary

Synergy Staffing in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Test Engineer with a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering to develop, maintain and optimize wafer and final test programs for volume production.

You will analyze device behavior, drive yield improvement and costs reductions, support MRB decisions, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues on ATE and production lines.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related disciplines).
• Proven skills in hardware design, test program development, test software programming and analog test.
• Experience with Advantest Smartest 7 and Teradyne J750 is an asset.
• Experience with tester/bench/measurement and debugging; able to independently debug hardware and software issues.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; able to drive improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize wafer test, final test and utilities test programs for volume production.
• Analyze device behaviour and test data to debug issues and support MRB/material disposition.
• Drive yield improvement and test time reduction from a test engineering perspective.
• Provide test program input for material disposition and MRB decisions.
• Execute cost reduction activities including process simplification and test optimization.
• Support CQC activities including containment test development and strategy changes.
• Develop and support test programs for reliability stress readout and RAP tests.
• Support debugging and root cause finding for customer returns on ATE and production issues.

Requirement

• Proven skills in hardware design, test program development, test software programming and analog test.
• Experience with Advantest Smartest 7 and Teradyne J750 testers is an added advantage.
• Experience with tester/bench/measurement and debugging; able to independently debug hardware and software issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills; team player willing to work with cross functional teams for issue resolution.
• Strong leadership and team building skills; able to drive improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills; able to take initiative and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibility

• Develop, maintain and optimize wafer test, final test and utilities test programs to ensure robust coverage, yield and efficiency for volume production products.
• Analyze device behaviour and test data to debug issues, provide test solutions and support CQC containment, MRB/material disposition and customer return investigations.
• Drive yield improvement and test time reduction from a test engineering perspective.
• Provide test engineering input and support for material disposition and MRB decisions.
• Execute cost reduction activities, including insertion elimination, process simplification, and test program optimization.
• Support CQC (Customer Quality Complaint) activities, including CQC containment test development and release, feasibility study on containment work and test strategy changes.
• Develop and support test programs for reliability stress readout and RAP tests.
• Support debugging and root cause finding for customer returns on ATE and production issues.
