About the role

TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a leading manufacturer of power supplies, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team in Senai, Johor. As a Test Engineer at TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our high-performance power supply products.

What you'll be doing

Test Report Compilation: Prepare and compile test reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness for documentation and analysis.

Test Failure Troubleshooting & Analysis: Identify and analyze test failures using schematic diagrams to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Test Instruments Setup & Modification: Configure and relocate test instruments for production lines and new product introduction (NPI) models to support seamless testing operations.

Test Fixtures Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and repair test fixtures to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.

Equipment Failure & Repaired Set Verification: Verify the functionality of repaired equipment and failed units to confirm proper operation before deployment.

Correlation Test: Conduct correlation tests to ensure consistency and reliability between different test setups and environments.

Data Analysis: Analyze ATE downtime, field claims, R&D requests, and overseas support data to identify trends and improve test processes.

Electrical Test Related Evaluation: Perform electrical testing for component and product evaluations to verify performance and compliance.

Collaboration with R&D: Work closely with the R&D team to review test results, develop test methods, and refine test setups for improved accuracy and efficiency.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role within the power electronics or electronics industry.

Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot PCB-level issues.

Understanding of AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion principles.

Proficient in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, power analyzers, etc.

Proficiency in Excel, or statistical tools for analyzing test results.

Good communication and written in English and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Possess strong critical thinking skills and resilience in the face of challenges.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
