Job description

Temporary Music teacher is required to commence in June - November 2025. We are seeking teachers who can teach Music at Primary level. Experience of teaching and working with children from (KS2- Upper Primary) is essential.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Plan and prepare programs of study, schemes of work, and lesson plans as required for the subject.
  2. Contribute to extra-curricular activities and projects in the school, such as the Annual production and other events.
  3. Teach with consistent effectiveness in classes, considering all students’ individual educational needs and holistic development.
  4. Make full use of ICT and new technologies to enhance teaching and learning quality.
  5. Promote students' intellectual, moral, cultural, physical, and personal abilities and provide guidance on educational and social matters.
  6. Support school activities and functions.
  7. Participate in curriculum-related meetings and school organization, including student guidance.
  8. Carry out professional duties as reasonably assigned by the Principal or Head of Secondary School.
  9. Teach co-curricular classes effectively, considering students' individual needs and development.
  10. Engage in professional development, reflecting on teaching practices and staying updated with best practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Music/Performing Arts Studies or equivalent.
  2. Recent experience with an international school preferred.
  3. Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  4. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
