YOUR TASKS
  1. Liase closely with Sales Channels and other departments within DHL to ensure that a full cost-effective service is maintained and that targets for the area are achieved.
  2. Ensure cooperation with other members of the sales team and throughout the sales force.
  3. Formulate a personal sales plan that incorporates initiatives for identifying and gaining new business prospects and maximizes growth within the existing client base so that the required personal sales results are achieved.
  4. Manage revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling tactics to exceed this budget through calls.
  5. Combine sales skills with DHL product/service knowledge and convert the maximum possible prospect leads into accounts, emphasizing those with maximum revenue potential, in order to increase the size and quality of DHL’s account holders.
  6. Continuously develop knowledge of DHL’s services and general commercial awareness to provide the best possible customer service and maximize the department’s contribution to sales.
  7. Adhere to regional standards on profit margins and discount guidelines.
  8. Open new accounts and ensure they trade profitably.
  9. Ensure all customer agreements are cost-sensitive to set and adhere to minimum pricing tariffs. Any deviations require management approval and justification.
  10. Maintain and report customer information accurately on the database.
  11. Complete daily and weekly reports to measure individual and department effectiveness, including weekly productivity figures.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Exhibits ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness, and empathy.
  • Well-developed relationship skills and ability to network across organizational levels and business units.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and/or 3-4 years of sales and account management experience.
  • Experience working in a contact center (outbound) environment.
