The Opportunity:
You will have a chance to be part of the Zurich Edge Platform that is an end-to-end Digital Native Insurance Platform to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for straight through processing across the full insurance value chain. As a Technology Delivery Manager, your responsibility is to drive the delivery of projects related to the APAC Digital Retail Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement agile methodology, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
- Determining, monitoring and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
- Scheduling and facilitating Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, other meetings, and decision-making processes.
- Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
- Planning of business workshops, organizing demos and product/system testing.
- Manage dependencies between vendor deliverables and scrum team delivery plans.
- Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicate effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
- Ensure the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the project team.
- Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.
- Preparing and presenting of regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Work with the project team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
- Work with IT Vendors, partners and internal delivery teams in ensuring pragmatic delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience and proven track record of managing delivery of IT projects with remote teams located in multiple locations.
- Experience as a project manager, or delivery manager.
- Experience in financial services / insurance highly regarded.
- Prior experience in web technologies, cloud and APIs highly regarded.
- Courses and certifications in Project Management and/or scrum methodology.
- Strong knowledge of using JIRA for managing projects.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies.
- JIRA configuration skills.
- Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication & documentation skills.
- Ability to lead by influence.
- Ability to work across diverse Asian cultures.
