The EY Data and Analytics (Financial Services) team are specialists in information management, advanced analytics and business intelligence. We implement the information‑driven strategies and systems that offer the highest return on investment, profitability, and service or policy outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Engage with long‑term clients to identify new ways to unlock the value of their data.
- Work on projects across traditional BI and DW environments and on cutting‑edge big‑data and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with clients to keep them focussed on their vision and strategy around data and reporting environments, removing bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build new API integrations to support increasing data volume and complexity.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business‑intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data‑driven decision‑making.
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders.
- Write unit and integration tests, contribute to the engineering wiki, and document work.
- Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot related issues and assist in resolution.
- Work closely with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
- Define company data assets (data models), Spark, SparkSQL, and HiveSQL jobs to populate data models.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience with data architecture, information management, software engineering, DevOps, and Agile delivery.
- Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or Agile (or hybrid).
- Exceptional communication, documentation and presentation skills.
- Strong consulting experience and background, including direct client engagement.
- Experience engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with analytics tools such as SAS, R, Hadoop, Hive and similar technologies.
Preferred/Additional Skills
- Design and development of APIs and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Spark, SparkSQL, HiveSQL and related tooling.
- Professional experience in large‑scale data projects.
