A leading construction company is seeking a Technician/Supervisor for Heavy Equipment & Logistics. The role involves maintenance support, inventory management, and requires knowledge of equipment management and effective communication skills in Mandarin. The position is based at the Kuala Baram project site in Miri, Sarawak, offering free accommodation for candidates from outside the area.
Technician/Supervisor(Heavy Equipment & Logistics)
Repair Service and Maintenance Support
Assist the head technicianin basic repair and maintenance of equipment such as excavators, dump trucks, mobile cranes, crawler cranes, and marine equipment (generators, hydraulic winches);
Help prepare tools and spare parts for maintenance tasks;
Record equipment breakdowns, maintenance actions, and report issues in a timely manner;
Support routine equipment inspections and simple servicing tasks.
Warehouse & Logistics
Manage spare parts and consumables inventory, including receiving, issuing, and accurate recordkeeping;
Ensure items are clearly labeled, sorted, and stored based on FIFO (first-in, first-out) principles;
Coordinate transportation and delivery of parts to the site when needed;
Conduct regular stock checks and assist in restocking requests with the procurement team;
Follow warehouse safety standards (fire prevention, moisture protection, secure storage).
Job Requirements:
Age between 25–45, with experience in equipment maintenance or warehouse management preferred;
Basic knowledge of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, cranes, trucks, marine systems);
Able to use basic office software (Excel/Word) for stock records and reports;
Hands-on, reliable, and willing to support both field work and inventory tasks;
Able to speak and understand Chinese (Mandarin) for smooth communication with team and departments;
Candidates from outside Miri are welcome – we provide free accommodation;
Be able to work at our Kuala Baram project site, Miri, Sarawak.
