Job Summary

The Reliability and Improvement Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of equipment and systems by implementing reliability-focused maintenance strategies. This role involves analyzing equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement, and executing corrective and preventive measures to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Reliability Maintenance

  • Perform reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) to optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify recurring issues.
  • Implement corrective actions to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and execution of maintenance improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean maintenance practices.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.
  • Monitor equipment health and recommend timely interventions.

Spare Parts & Inventory Management

  • Ensure critical spare parts are available to support reliability initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating the condition of spare parts and recommending replacements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
  • Participate in safety audits and recommend reliability improvements to enhance workplace safety.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability analysis tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data analysis for equipment reliability.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
