Job summary

A leading asset management firm in Malaysia is looking for a Facility Manager to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical and plumbing systems in high-rise buildings. The ideal candidate will have technical certification and at least 2 years of experience in facility management. Duties include monitoring BAS systems and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in technical/facility management.
  • Familiarity with high-rise building safety codes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Overview

Sunway Property & Facilities Management (Sunway PFM Sdn Bhd) is the Sunway Group’s asset management firm. The organization’s team comprises professionals across a diversified portfolio of real estate, with a focus on building maintenance, preventive and predictive maintenance to support asset performance and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible to ensure all electrical equipment and appliances are in safe and good working condition.
  • Ensure all electrical DBs, riser rooms, and MSB rooms are well maintained.
  • Check and ensure all fire fighting systems, pumps, wet risers, smoke detectors and their installations are in good condition.
  • Ensure all preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance checklists are updated and attended.
  • Monitor BAS system.
  • Ensure all work orders are entered into the CMMS (PMWO and CMWO).
  • Knowledge in plumbing, piping installation and maintenance.
  • Ensure all ACMV systems are running and in good condition; check modulating valve, supply and return air temperature.
  • Attend to tenant requests (eSR).
Qualifications
  • Technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical/facility management in property management, preferably in commercial buildings.
  • Familiarity with high-rise building safety codes and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • AO Chargeman or above qualification is an added advantage.
