A leading mall management company is seeking a Technician for Maintenance Facilities Management. Qualifications

• Minimum a certificate in Civil, Plumbing or Building System, or SPM and recognized trade qualification.
• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possesses technical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and knowledge of relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operations and repairs.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance duties related to building services.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in a clean condition.

Job description

Technician - Maintenance Facilities Management

• Sunway Velocity Mall

a) Assists Supervisor – Maintenance for the day to day operations. Operates, maintains and repairs all aspects of the mall’s system.

b) Required to work overtime as when it required.

c) Switch on and off all electrical points (accessible) before and after business hours.

d) Attend complaint with repairs and maintenance orders or urgent top priority jobs through phone calls from other departments or tenant without delay.

e) Maintain workshop tools, equipment and all related maintenance areas in clean and neat condition at all times.

f) Perform general repairs, fabrication, installations, operations, and preventive maintenance duties related to building services systems, such as water supply and distribution, sanitary and drainage systems, pumping stations, toilets, and general repair works including painting and tiling.

g) In co-operated permanently as a member of safety, fire and cost saving in the Company.

h) Ensures that all workshop tools and equipment are well stocked and maintained.

i) Troubleshoots and undertakes hands on repair works for any issues relating to building structure promptly.

j) Coordinates repair works with suppliers and/or contractors.

k) Provides support to the Marketing department during festive seasons and setup of displays or decorations.

l) Any other tasks or duties as assigned by superior from time to time.

m) To comply with PDPA and Sunway Compliance Manual.

n) To ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any unauthorized 3rd party without obtaining clearance from the Information Manager or the PDP Officer.

o) All employees are required to adhere to the company's safety, health, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and best practices to create a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment for all.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• i) Minimum a certificate in Civil, Plumbing or Building System, or SPM and recognized trade qualification.

• iii) Possesses technical and problem-solving abilities.
• iv) Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and knowledge in relevant legislation (building codes, fire safety, and country standards).
