As a Technician III supporting Finishing Engineering team, you will be responsible for executing planned preventive maintenance in a timely manner and responding to unplanned equipment downtime to ensure safety, product quality, and machine performance are maintained at the highest standards at Johor. Your typical day will include:

• Handling technical tasks related to planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to optimize facility and equipment availability and productivity.
• Assisting in coordinating maintenance engineering work and liaising with production staff to coordinate repair work, safety inspections, and the supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
• Reviewing mechanical and electrical engineering specifications and assessing new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
• Participating in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Making decisions within your scope of tasks, requiring advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Adhering to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing training.
• Meeting individual job requirements and contributing to overall organizational compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement and regulatory adherence.

What you’ll bring to Alcon:

• Diploma in Engineering with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Advanced Certificate in Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a medical devices environment is preferred.
• Skills in electronic circuit troubleshooting, chiller systems, power supply systems, and schematic reading and interpretation.
