Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs engineering work. Work at this level is not complex. Some wide variety of complex technical tasks will have engineer’s instructions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments.
2. Perform unit test to support production schedule.
3. Conducts semi-routine engineering and detailed experimental tests.
4. Keeps detailed and accurate logs on all assigned activities.
5. Participate in yield and continuous improvement action.
6.Help to control SPC and GR&R.
7.Assists engineers to design, development, construction, and evaluation of test fixture and equipment.
8. Understands, sustains and maintains test program, maintains test equipment system with Test Engineer support
9. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS:
1. Ability to read electronic schematics
3. Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.
4. Good communication ability and team work.
5. Knowledge of testing instruments, such as Digital Scope, DMM, Generator, computer etc.
6. Knowledge of Basic English ability, reading ability preferred
7. Good computational and technical skills.
8. Ability to work independently and ability to be creative.

EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of electrical Engineering or a related field
• Basic English knowledge
• ESD knowledge
• 5S knowledge
• Product test procedure knowledge

EDUCATION:
Technical school or high school level or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.

Candidate must be willing to work at Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.
