Job Summary:

The Compound Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of mechanical components and facility equipment. This role ensures the proper functioning of mechanical systems, air compressors, air conditioning units, and other infrastructure while adhering to safety standards. Additionally, the Compound Technician will assist in process improvements and reliability strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Basic Maintenance
2. Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and servicing of mechanical components such as bearings, gears, and shafts according to maintenance schedules.
3. Conduct basic maintenance for internal and external facility equipment, including toilets, offices, doors, gates, sliding doors, windows, walls, floors, gutters, roofing, painting jobs, pallet gates, loading docks (strainer, overhead door, lifter), and other facility-related tasks.
4. Part Replacement
5. Assist in replacing mechanical parts under the guidance of senior technicians/executives, including bolts, nuts, washers, and seals.
6. Cleaning and Lubrication
7. Clean mechanical parts and apply lubricants as necessary to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
8. Air Compressor Maintenance
9. Perform routine inspection, repair, and replacement of air compressor components.
10. Ensure air compressors operate according to required specifications.
11. Air Conditioning & Fresh Air Unit Maintenance
12. Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and replacements for air conditioning and fresh air units.
13. Ensure the proper operation of compressors based on requirement specifications.
14. Safety Compliance
15. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling mechanical components to prevent accidents and injuries.
16. Record Keeping
17. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including part replacements, inspections, and lubrication schedules.
18. Communication
19. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to report maintenance findings and request assistance when needed.
20. Continuous Improvement
21. Identify and propose process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
22. Assist in the development and execution of maintenance improvement projects.
23. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean maintenance practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
2. Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance or a similar role.
3. Knowledge of mechanical systems, lubrication processes, and facility maintenance.
4. Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance.
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
