Technician (Building Services)

Job Summary

• To perform highly diversified duties which include installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

A. Safety & Health

• Ensure observance of safety rules & regulations, personal safety and safety of others at workplace.
• Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued are properly kept and maintained.
• Ensure all area/work has proper management of hazards and that all work areas are carried out according to safety measures.
• Ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniform, particularly when working in customer areas.
• Carry out patrolling as necessary, at the site and check for hazards, damages and building defects and intruders during opening and closing; take action and report immediately.

B. Operation

• Perform daily maintenance duties as scheduled: M&E maintenance, building works, Air-conditioning servicing, pneumatic & hydraulic servicing, plumbing, civil, painting etc.
• Carry out daily switching On/OFF of all the equipment and machinery according to the work shift; Chiller, AHU, FCU, Lift, Lighting, LPG gas etc.
• Handle the issued tools, machinery and M&E equipment with care.
• Attend to ad-hoc & sudden breakdown of any facilities/machineries, perform the repairs/rectification and report to superior. Ensure the work is done within the allocated time.
• Timely report any difficulties or problems faced to the superior for clear direction.
• Attend to and resolve tenants’ complaints pertaining to facilities issues with tact and promptness. Check with superior for any clarification required.
• Ensure all work undertaken is to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations.
• Monitor the work done by outsourced contractors on any outsourced repair and maintenance work. Ensure the work is done according to the Company’s safety and health rules & regulations.
• Ensure all jobs are done properly and the area is cleaned after work is completed.

C. Occasional Duties

• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the superior.

Position Requirements

1. Qualifications: Possess at least SKM / Certificate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.

2. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of working experience in the related field.

3. Skills / Competencies:

• Pro-active, independent and the right attitude.
• Basic knowledge of M&E equipment operation.
• Willing to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
