Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician (Electrical) to support maintenance and reliability of production equipment in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment in Malaysia. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and food quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Chargeman with strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience in manufacturing operations, based in Prai, Penang.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams.
• Hands-on experience in electrical installation, servicing, and repair.
• Able to work on shift rotation if required.
• Must be willing to be based in Prai, Penang.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance for electrical and mechanical systems across production lines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Support major equipment troubleshooting together with Machine Operators and Production Team.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with GMP, HACCP, HALAL, and Safety standards.
• Participate in IL6S and plant continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own and operate multiple key equipment to support operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Production to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.
• Uphold zero safety incidents and zero quality defects mindset.
• Participate in SGA and Lean improvement projects.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
