Job summary

BH PREMIUM AUTO (M) SDN BHD in Ipoh is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose engines, drivetrains, and electrical systems using OEM software, and to perform complex mechanical repairs including engine overhauls and transmission swaps.

Responsibilities include ADAS calibrations after bodywork or suspension work, routine maintenance, MPI inspections, and road-testing vehicles to ensure customer concerns are fully resolved.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing engines, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
• Skilled in performing engine overhauls and transmission swaps.
• Familiar with ADAS calibrations and road-testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use OEM-specific software to diagnose engine, drivetrain, and electrical faults.
• Perform complex mechanical repairs including engine overhauls and transmission swaps.
• Calibrate ADAS after bodywork or suspension work.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and resolve customer concerns.

• Perform routine services within manufacturer labor times.
• Document all work on the Repair Order including Cause, Complaint, and Correction.

Job description

Perform computer-based diagnostics using OEM-specific software to identify malfunctions in engine management, drivetrain, and electrical systems.

Execute complex mechanical repairs including engine overhauls, transmission swaps, and drivetrain component replacements.

Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations following bodywork or suspension adjustments.

Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure the "customer concern" has been fully resolved.

2. Maintenance & Inspections

Conduct comprehensive Multi-Point Inspections (MPI) to identify future safety or maintenance needs.

Perform routine services (fluid exchanges, brake service, tire fitment) within the manufacturer's allotted labor time.

3. Compliance & Documentation

Accurately document all work performed on the Repair Order (RO) including the Cause, Complaint, and Correction.

Maintain strictly organized records for Warranty Claims, ensuring failed parts are tagged and stored according to manufacturer policy.

Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials (e.g., battery disposal, used oil).
