Job summary

Western Digital Corporation is seeking a Diploma-holding professional for a Process role, based in Malaysia. You will run sputter characterization samples, set up lines, validate KPIVs, and interpret control charts to maintain target values.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, proficiency with Windows and Office, and strong teamwork with minimal supervision in a cleanroom environment. English communication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run characterization / evaluations samples on Sputter machine per experiment plan.
• Line setup, KPIV buyoff & validation following start-up procedures.
• Interpret control charts and analyze process trends.
• Carry out magnetic & interface measurements and adjust processes to hit targets.
• Monitor alarms, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance as directed.
• Maintain housekeeping and support additional tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to EHS policies and participate in IMS, 6S, RBA activities.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run characterization / evaluations samples on Sputter machine following the experiment plan prepared by Engineer
• Line setup, KPIV buyoff & validation following machine start-up procedures, feedback any abnormality found to the Engineer and take appropriate corrective action.
• Basic proficiency in interpreting and analyzing control charts and process trends.
• Carry out Magnetic & Interface measurements for characterization samples. Compile the data in excel sheet and make process adjustments to get target values.
• Interpret control charts to identify trends, shifts, or out-of-control conditions.
• Monitor & troubleshoot Alarms while running characterization samples, take appropriate action based on guidelines & instructions, support periodic preventive maintenance per PM schedule.Conduct routine maintenance checks and services.
• Carry out periodic samples house keeping & other tasks assigned by Engineer.
• Comply and support EHS policy. Participate company activities such as IMS, 6S, RBA & etc

Qualifications

Required :

• Diploma in any Engineering or science discipline

Skill :

• Familiar with Microsoft Windows, Office applications
• Required to work in 12 hours shift pattern with day or night cycles

Preferred :

• Willing to work in cleanroom environment
• Able to communicate in English
• Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
