Job Description

As Process Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out DET measurements, analyzing data, and planning evaluation experiments as advised by engineers. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative, and collaborate effectively; demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills, and the ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12-hour shift pattern and overtime as required by the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for executing and following up on daily tasks assigned by engineers.
  2. Perform Guzik / DET testing hands-on.
  3. Compile and summarize Guzik / DET data, and trigger necessary actions.
  4. Perform basic part changes and tester setup verification.
  5. Provide feedback and frequent status updates to MRE engineers.
  6. Maintain MRE lab 7S and follow all safety and health rules.
  7. Work in a cleanroom environment and be flexible with arrangements from supervisors.
  8. Collaborate with Sputter Process Engineering, R&D Sputter, PE, and QA as required.
  9. Reference generation and head screening for new programs.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Windows software and Forum Notes.
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills, including cross-functional collaboration.

PREFERRED:

  • 1-2 years experience in manufacturing, machine operation, data collection, and analysis.
  • Experience with sputtering or related fields, knowledge of magnetic materials used in HDDs.
  • Knowledge of magnetic recording, heads, gauge study, statistical process control, and experience with C++ or Excel macros.
