Job description

onsemi is searching for an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the Fabrication Department. Under minimal supervision, this person will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of manufacturing & fabrication equipment. The Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meet manufacturing & fabrication needs. This position will report to the Manager of Facilities.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of industrial automated fabrication equipment daily.
2. Documents routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, records data if applicable, and maintains completed checklist/history in the tool logbook.
3. Communicates issues with third-party equipment vendors as needed to expedite troubleshooting and repairs.
4. Sustains and improves the Preventative Maintenance Program on all fabrication/processing equipment.
5. Authors accurate documentation for the operation and maintenance of various automated industrial equipment.
6. Tests, tunes, and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
7. Reports spare part requirements.
8. Determines the type of repairs to be performed, approves, and suggests modifications to equipment, and analyzes results to evaluate equipment performance.
9. Develops or improves techniques to meet quality, function, and cost standards.
10. Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
11. Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data, observes trends, and makes recommendations.
12. Troubleshoots and follows through with repairs of manufacturing equipment and electronic controls.
13. Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance tasks using CMMS system.
14. Responds to unplanned urgent needs to minimize downtime.
15. Uses a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate, and repair equipment.
16. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.
17. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
