Job Description
Job Summary

Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, tools, and equipment used in the workplace. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and complies with safety standards. The Equipment Technician will work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

Carry out assigned tasks to uphold product quality and assist in environmental, safety, and health efforts, as well as the seamless operation of departmental business continuity activities, while adhering to company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintaining the smooth operation of production and optimizing yield, utilization, and product quality through machine sustaining and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules, address equipment-related issues, and implement improvements.
  • Monitor equipment performance indicators and implement corrective actions to address deviations from performance targets.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Provide training and support to operators and maintenance staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Required
  • Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, initiative, independent, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to equipment operation.
  • Flexibility to work in shift, occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting equipment and machine.
  • Effective coordination and communication skill.
  • Intermediate knowledge in electrical wiring, PLC system, control system, pneumatics system, actuators, sensors, and their working principals.
