Technical:

• Responsible for vehicle repair, minor diagnostics, and ensuring rectification procedures are carried out.

Commercial:

• Manage policies within the framework to meet management standards and directions.

Scope and Influence

• Responsible for providing vehicle services and repairs.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Perform repairs such as brakes, suspension, chassis.
• Carry out service maintenance on trucks.
• Perform engine checks and adjustments, air and brake inspections.
• Handle wiring repairs, compressor checks.
• Record repair times and details.
• Inform the foreman about repair details.
• Clean customer vehicles.
• Manage warranty parts and tags for claims.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the work bay.
• Ensure ethical compliance in parts replacement and services according to checklists and scope.
• Adhere to Volvo processes, policies, and the Volvo way.
• Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Educational and Certification Qualifications

• Malaysian Skills Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Valid B2, D, or GDL driving license preferred.

Experience and Knowledge

• 3-5 years experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks (Japanese and Continental brands).
• Knowledge of vehicle principles, engine, transmission, and brake systems.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting with multimeter.
• Ability to read vehicle electrical circuit diagrams.

Technical / Functional / Language Skills

• Knowledge of Volvo Vehicle Technology.
• Understanding of basic vehicle principles, torque, and measuring tools.
• Engine checks, adjustments, and basic electrical fault tracing.
• Proficiency with Tech Tool and data gathering.
• Leadership qualities and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform with purpose, decide, initiate action, and innovate.
• Adaptability and entrepreneurial thinking.
