Overview

The Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing processing and packaging equipment used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Carry out on-site installation of food processing equipment and packaging systems ensuring correct electrical and mechanical integration.

Responsibilities
  • Run system checks and calibrations to verify functionality and compliance.
  • Educate clients on the correct use and care of newly installed machines.
  • Identify and fix operational problems in food processing equipment and packaging systems.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections to maintain machinery efficiency.
  • Replace damaged or malfunctioning components including motors, sensors, and electrical devices to prevent downtime.
  • Assess parts needed for maintenance and repairs, and suggest suitable replacements.
  • Communicate with purchasing teams to maintain a steady inventory of essential components.
  • Respond quickly to client service requests and resolve equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver technical solutions and expert assistance to customers.
  • Keep up-to-date logs of maintenance tasks and service history.
  • Ensure all work aligns with health, safety, and performance standards.
Requirements
  • SPM leavers (Form 5), candidates with technical or vocational training (e.g., SKM, certificate programs), or a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fields are welcome to apply.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in servicing industrial machinery preferred.
  • Experience with food or pharmaceutical processing equipment is highly desirable.
