Overview
The Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing processing and packaging equipment used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Carry out on-site installation of food processing equipment and packaging systems ensuring correct electrical and mechanical integration.
Responsibilities
- Run system checks and calibrations to verify functionality and compliance.
- Educate clients on the correct use and care of newly installed machines.
- Identify and fix operational problems in food processing equipment and packaging systems.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections to maintain machinery efficiency.
- Replace damaged or malfunctioning components including motors, sensors, and electrical devices to prevent downtime.
- Assess parts needed for maintenance and repairs, and suggest suitable replacements.
- Communicate with purchasing teams to maintain a steady inventory of essential components.
- Respond quickly to client service requests and resolve equipment failures.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver technical solutions and expert assistance to customers.
- Keep up-to-date logs of maintenance tasks and service history.
- Ensure all work aligns with health, safety, and performance standards.
Requirements
- SPM leavers (Form 5), candidates with technical or vocational training (e.g., SKM, certificate programs), or a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fields are welcome to apply.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in servicing industrial machinery preferred.
- Experience with food or pharmaceutical processing equipment is highly desirable.
