Job summary

Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar is seeking a skilled Technician to maintain electrical systems and guest areas, ensuring smooth hotel operations.

You will respond to repair requests, monitor energy usage, and assist in maintaining facilities to support guest comfort and safety. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with hotel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate or SKM in electrical, air conditioning, or civil/mechanical fields.
• Hands-on with electrical systems common in hotels.
• Experience in hotel operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests through the system.
• Attend to room and public area maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor or engineer.
• Monitor energy costs and department expenditures.
• Take readings for electricity, water, gas, pool chemistry, and equipment performance.

Your day to day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests thru the system provided.
• Attending guest room and public area complaint through the CC system or any assignment as instructed by the Supervisor/Shift Engineer/ Duty Engineer or Chief Engineer.
• Analyses and monitors energy costs and expenditures for the department.
• To take daily electricity, water and gas consumption reading, pool PH and chlorine reading, water tanks level reading, chiller operation and hot water temp reading.

What we need from you

• Certification or SKM holder in Air conditioning and refrigeration or electrical or civil or mechanical,advantage for having qualification licences in PW 2 and PW 4 by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Basic Knowledge in Audio system consider advantages.
• Hand on with in – depth technical knowledge with hotel operations, specifically in electrical fields.
• Must speak English and Bahasa Malaysia.
