Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technician to assemble electronic and mechanical components to build machines according to specifications. The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Industrial Technology, with 1–3 years in manufacturing.

Preferred SKM certification. You will perform soldering, molding, assembly, and testing while maintaining cleanroom and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Technology.
• Preferred: SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) or equivalent technical certification.
• Experience in soldering, molding, assembly, or electrical systems is a plus.

• Assemble electronic and mechanical parts to build machines based on drawings and work instructions.
• Conduct functional and leak tests, identify errors, and perform rework as required.
• Report to and assist engineers with problem solving and troubleshooting.

Technician is responsible for assembling electronic and mechanical components to build machines according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. Performs functional and leak tests, identifies issues, and carries out rework when necessary. Supports engineers with troubleshooting and problem-solving activities. Adheres to cleanroom protocols and practices the 5S concept, while maintaining proper housekeeping and complying with all manufacturing discipline requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assemble electronic and mechanical parts to build machines based on required specifications, drawings and work instruction.

Conduct functional and leak test, identify errors and conduct rework if required.

Report and assist engineers in problem solving and troubleshooting.

Required to understand the cleanroom protocol and practice the 5S Concept for cleanroom.

Perform housekeeping and comply with manufacturing discipline.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Soldering: Conduct precise soldering of electrical components.

Molding: Pour materials into molds and manage the molding process to shape heating elements.

Assembly: Assemble components, ensuring correct fit and function.

Wire Routing: Route and position wires within heaters for electrical connectivity and safety.

Material Control: Manage materials on the production floor, ensuring proper stock levels and preventing waste.

Electrical Testing: Measure and test electrical components for resistance and ensure proper functioning.

Quality Control: Perform basic checks for quality assurance and report any defects or issues.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

Required: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.

Preferred: SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) or equivalent technical certification related to manufacturing or production processes.

Other Certifications: Any technical certification related to soldering, molding, assembly, or electrical systems will be an advantage.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

Required: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or production floor.

Preferred: Hands-on experience in heater manufacturing, especially involving soldering, molding, assembly, and wire routing processes.

Experience in electrical systems is a strong plus (especially in wiring, electrical resistance testing, or component assembly).

Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform manual tasks involving precision.

Comfortable working with small parts, tools, and production machinery in a manufacturing setting.

Ability to follow safety protocols when using tools and equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required to wear personal protective equipment

Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.

Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.

Overnight Travel:

Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting )

Willingness to undergo training in specialized area such as soldering, wire routing, material handling, and equipment operation.
