A leading company in manufacturing seeks a Production Technician to operate and maintain machines efficiently. The role involves performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and development of PLC programs for automation systems. Ideal candidates should possess a relevant diploma, hands-on experience, and strong problem-solving skills, with fresh graduates also welcome to apply.
Operate production machines and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor machine performance and output to ensure quality and efficiency.
Support daily production activities to meet output targets and schedules.
Report any abnormalities or issues to the tech leader.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production machines.
Responsibilities:
Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of machines and equipment.
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs for automated machinery.
Integrate camera-based vision systems with PLCs for quality inspection and defect detection processes.
Configure and maintain machine vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Omron Vision) used for component recognition, alignment, or quality control.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
Assist in the setup, configuration, and programming of automation systems, including HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and sensors.
Work closely with engineers and production teams to improve machine performance and minimize downtime.
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety compliance.
Support new equipment commissioning and upgrades involving PLC controls.
Requirement:
Diploma in a technical or related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome; experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
Able to work on shift (morning/night) and overtime if required.
Basic understanding of machine operation is a plus.
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and electrical maintenance.
Possess at least an SKM Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
Strong knowledge and experience with PLC brands such as Omron, Mitsubishi, or Panasonic
Ability to write and modify ladder logic or function block diagrams.
Familiar with HMI software, control panels, sensors, and actuators.
Able to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
Willing to support occasional weekend or emergency maintenance tasks when required
