Job Title: Technical Training Lead

Purpose of Role:

The Technical Training Lead enhances workforce proficiency by developing, sourcing and delivering high-quality training programs aligned with organizational goals. This role fosters continuous learning, ensuring employees stay current with industry trends and technologies. By leveraging a Workday Learning Management System (LMS) and collaborating with stakeholders, the Technical Training Lead ensures effective training delivery and alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, this role supports apprenticeship and onboarding by providing comprehensive technical training to new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Training Needs: Assess the technical training needs of the operations and its employees to ensure that the workforce has the necessary skills and knowledge, evaluated and tracked through skill matrix.

  • Develop Training Programs: Design and implement effective technical training programs that address identified needs, including creating training materials and resources.

  • Source & Manage Training Providers: where technical training cannot be developed or delivered internally, collaborate with the procurement team to source appropriate training and effectively manage the relationship with that provider, ensuring quality and value for the business.

  • Deliver Training: Conduct internal training sessions, workshops, and facilitate external seminars to educate employees on technical skills, tools, and best practices.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.



Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a background in a large-scale workforce environment (blue collar experience will be beneficial)

  • Relevant qualifications in Training and Assessment

  • Excellent facilitation skills, both online and face to face, to frontline operations teams

  • A proven ability to build strong and effective interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders

  • Self-driven and ability to manage own schedule with conflicting priorities
